This Privacy Policy explains how ThreadChaser ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the ThreadChaser iOS application ("App"). We are committed to being transparent about our data practices.
2. Information We Collect
ThreadChaser does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal details;
- We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or location data;
- All thread measurements and calculations you enter are processed entirely on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party;
- We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services, or any third-party tracking libraries;
- We do not access your camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or any other device sensor or data store.
3. Data Collected by Apple
ThreadChaser is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store. Apple independently collects certain information as part of its platform services. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is outside our control. Apple-collected data may include:
- App Store account information — your Apple ID, name, and email address as registered with Apple;
- Purchase records — a record of your App download and any in-app purchases, retained by Apple for billing and fraud prevention;
- App usage analytics — if you have opted in to sharing analytics with Apple developers, Apple may share aggregated, anonymous usage statistics with us (e.g. crash logs, session counts). This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be linked back to you;
- Device identifiers — Apple may associate your App download with your device for the purpose of licence validation and restore-purchases functionality.

4. In-App Purchases and Payment Data
Any in-app purchases within ThreadChaser are processed entirely by Apple's App Store payment infrastructure. We never see, receive, store, or process your payment card details, bank account information, or any other financial data. All billing is handled directly between you and Apple.
Apple provides us with a non-identifiable receipt confirming that a purchase was completed. This receipt is used solely to unlock purchased features on your device. It contains no personal payment information.

5. Restore Purchases
The "Restore Purchases" feature allows you to re-activate previously purchased content on a new or reinstalled device. This process communicates directly with Apple's App Store servers using your Apple ID credentials. We do not receive or store any personal information during this process.
6. Children's Privacy
ThreadChaser is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us immediately using the details in Section 10 and we will take prompt steps to address the matter.
7. Data Security
Because ThreadChaser does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data stored on our systems that could be subject to a breach. All information you enter into the App (measurements, settings, preferences) remains on your device and is protected by iOS's built-in security model.
8. Data Retention
We do not retain any personal data because we do not collect any. App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device by iOS and are deleted when you uninstall the App.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
If we ever change our practices in a material way — for example if we introduce analytics or account features — we will notify users via an in-app notice or App Store update notes before any changes take effect.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, Australian Privacy Act, or CCPA) including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete.
For data held by Apple (purchase records, Apple ID details), please exercise your rights directly through privacy.apple.com.
